Armed robbery reported at Fort Myers convenience store Sunday night

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Deputies are searching for a man who used a silver gun to rob a Circle K store on Tamiami Trail Sunday night.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, it happened around 11:30pm at the store at the intersection with S. Airport Road near Page Field.

The suspect is described as being in his mid 20’s, thin build, dark skinned, wearing a black mask, black bandana, black hat and black pants.

He reportedly entered the store with a gun and proceeded behind the counter, where he pointed the gun at a clerk and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the store in a southbound direction.
