LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- More legal challenges ahead for the planned Margaritaville Resort on Fort Myers Beach.
New documents show that a woman who previously sued the resort and town has now filed an appeal in the state court of appeals.
Back in September, a judge ruled in favor of the resort and Town of Fort Myers Beach in a lawsuit that held up the project for more than a year.
The woman, who lives next to the resort's planned location, claims that she would be impacted by the resort's size, traffic, noise, and lights.
The seven-acre resort will span both sides of Estero Boulevard near Crescent Street, between the pier and the Lani Kai.
It's unclear if the appeal will cause any more delays.
