PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- President Trump supporters across the country, and here in Southwest Florida held an anti-impeachment rally Thursday.
The rally in Punta Gorda was organized by the Charlotte County Republican Club. Attendees held signs and waved American flags.
This all stems from an impeachment inquiry in which President Trump is accused of abusing his power during a conversation with the president of Ukraine.
According to transcripts, President Trump asked Ukraine's leader to dig up dirt on his political rival, former vice president, Joe Biden.
Fox 4 spoke to a man at Thursday's rally on why he decided to join in. "There is so much opposition with this impeachment, we figured we would get the people together that are on his side, and we have a lot of them."
