LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The North Fort Myers 14-year-old girl killed in a hit-and-run crash over the weekend will have her funeral over the weekend.

Today a celebration of life was held for Allana Staiano at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens on Colonial Boulevard.

There wasn't a dry eye in the room as the group prayed and mourned together.

They also shared stories of who Allana was which was a testament to how her mother described her to us earlier this week.

Allana was struck by a car on McDaniel Drive Saturday night and later died at the hospital.

Those close to the family say the plan to lay her to rest this weekend.

23-year-old Courtney Gainey is currently in custody in the Lee County Jail, charged with two counts of hit and run.
