FORT MYERS, Fla. — After hours on the run, Friday, Fort Myers Police arrested 24-year-old Kevin Agenord. Authorities released surveillance pictures hoping someone could easily identify him. Investigators say Agenord forced his way into the home of an 11-year-old on Broadway Circle. Still shaken up, she relieved the moment she was nearly sexually assaulted.

“A guy came in and he forced me into a room and he showed me is private, pretty much until my brother broke down the door” said the 11-year-old girl.

She says her life flashed before her eyes.

“He was like quiet the whole time, he didn’t say one word, and it's pretty scary, because it just happened so fast boom boom boom and then he’s gone,” said the 11-year-old girl.

The entire encounter has left her in fear.

“Last night I didn't sleep, like last night my heart just kept hurting, like today I cried a lot too, my heart just keeps hurting like all the time, and then it stops, it’s, I don’t know its hard to explain”

Today she is relieved to know her alleged attacker is now behind bars.

“How can people act like that towards innocent people that they didn't do anything to them, like nothing, like I don’t know him and you can’t just do stuff like that cause I’m just a kid. I never thought it was going to happen to me, I saw it on the news and imagined what if they happened to me. I don’t know, it's just scary, it just, hurts.” said the 11-year-old girl.

Agenord has been charged with burglary with assault or battery, kidnap false imprisonment for a child under 13 yrs old, and lewd lascivious behavior. A bond has not been set at this time.
