Two people were arrested for allegedly distracting store employees as a way to steal merchandise, the Collier County Sheriff's Office said in a report.
Hernan Cubides and Rosemary Godinez walked into Sunglass Hut and the Pink store and distracted store employees by trying to get change from a $100 bill. While Hernan distracted the employees, Rosemary would steal items, CCSO wrote in a report.
The two walked of with two pair of sunglasses estimated at $700 total and clothing items worth of $50.
Digital photos and video showing the two stealing were provided to deputies as evidence.
Both were arrested and charged with Petit Theft and Grand Theft.
