LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A funeral will be held Tuesday for a Bonita Springs fire captain killed in a hunting accident earlier this month.

Captain Paul Phillips will be laid to rest at a service starting at 11am at the Christ Community Church in Fort Myers (4050 Colonial Boulevard). A gravesite service will follow at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens (1589 Colonial Boulevard).

The processional will be led by the Lee County Sheriff's Office and Bonita Springs Fire District.  Captain Phillips will be transported in the district's antique fire engine.

Phillips, an eleven-year veteran with the department, died during a hunting accident in Charlotte County on December 20th.  An investigation into the details surrounding his death is underway.

The Fire District has set up a Go Fund Me Page In memory of Captain Phillips.
