Local beaches close amid the Coronavirus crisis

The beach is one of the many reasons people come to Florida, but to stop the spread of the Coronavirus beaches in Lee and Collier counties are closing.

The City of Naples closed all public beaches within city limits yesterday ones in Lee county will close today at six.

Coronavirus closings and postponements around Southwest Florida

The closures include piers, walkways, restrooms, and parking areas.

The beaches will remain closed until further notice.

Charlotte County has announced they will be closing their beaches.

Charlotte County beaches will be closed as of 6 a.m. Sunday.

The closure affects Englewood Beach and Port Charlotte Beach.
