NAPLES, Fla. — A 65-year-old Marco Island man was killed and two others injured after a Wednesday night crash in Collier County.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, one sedan was stopped at a red light on Southwest Boulevard at US-41 when it was hit from behind by another sedan. The driver of the stopped vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger of the stopped sedan and the 88-year-old driver of the car that struck it were hospitalized with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
