String of business burglaries in Lehigh Acres strip mall

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – The Lee County Sheriff's office says burglars broke into a shop then cut through the drywall of several other businesses in Lehigh Acres over the weekend. 

Police need your help finding burglars they say tried to burglarize at least four shops over the weekend in the shopping mall, starting with a vacant pizza shop as a way to get into three other shops right next door.

The shopping plaza is on Homestead Road near Lee Boulevard. 

Police say store by store the burglars used claw hammers and crow bars to gain entry into the shops. 

A report says the burglars broke into the back door of New York Pizza, which is vacant, then cut a hole into the wall to get into the T-Mobile next door, where police say they didn't try stealing any phones or accessories.

Next they cut dry wall in the T-Mobile store and broke into Great Florida Insurance and tried getting into H&R Block.
