LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- If you're a dog owner, you know how hard it may be to get them to listen.

Alexis Foreman of Sit Means Sit dog training in SWFL has some tips to get your dog to behave.

She says to stop a dog from jumping, teach them about giving space. Owners should teach the commands "off" and "sit." Make sure you give your dog a treat as a reward.

Alexis also says you should show your dog where to go when you're eating so they're not begging during dinner time. Owners can have a designated spot for your dog to go when you eat.

It's also important to teach about boundaries and structure. Alexis says this brings out the best qualities in your pet.

On December 9, Sit Means Sit will have its grand opening on 28400 Old 41 Road in Bonita Springs. It's a free, family event. It will be from 11 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon.
