A Bonita Springs man is facing multiple charges after being accused of running a steroid operation in Lee County. The Lee County Sheriff's Office Highway Interdiction Unit in partnership with Custom's Officers and Homeland Security worked to put the man behind bars.
Deputies say Robert Joseph Ekland was making and selling illegal steroids in Lee County. After raiding his home and storage facilities, investigators found a handgun, and illegally made steroids. They also seized marijuana and thousands of dollars in cash.
