LCSO is conducting an investigation at the Paradise Marina after reports of a woman drowning.

It happened Thursday evening at 3900 Orange Grove Blvd in North Fort Myers.

"It doesn't seem real to me," said Matt Summerall.

He lives at the marina, and didn't know someone was in the water until he saw deputies arriving.

"Another deputy had came in, me and him both jumped in the water started swimming around the boats and docks, trying to find the woman that fell in," said Summerall.

Friends of the victim tells FOX 4 that the woman who drowned was jumping from boat-to-boat when she slipped and fell underneath one of them.

"It took like 10 minutes to pull her out of the water, and they tried to revive her and she just didn't come back," said Gia Hands, who knew the victim.

UPDATE (11/3) -- Detectives have identified the victim as 46-year-old Andrea Mott.

They say that Mott was intoxicated and slipped off the dock into the water.

There are no signs of foul play.
