The strong cold front as cleared SWFL and temperatures continue to drop steadily across the region, and will continue to do so overnight. Winds gusting up to 20 mph at times will create low wind chills Thursday morning.

A *FREEZE WARNING* has been issued for Charlotte, Sarasota, inland Lee, Glades, Hendry and DeSoto counties starting at 11 PM through 9 AM Thursday with temperatures reaching at or just below freezing for a few hours Thursday morning.

A Wind Chill Advisory is in place across southwest Florida starting at 11 PM tonight with wind chill values as low as the low 20s expected through tomorrow morning.

Hypothermia or frost bite could occur with these conditions if precautions are not taken. Coats, hats, and gloves should be worn during extended periods of time outdoors while the advisories are in place. Sensitive plants and pets should be kept indoors during the overnight hours.
