MARCO ISLAND, Fla. – Four in Your Corner was there as some Southwest Florida residents stepped up to help wildlife affected by the hurricane.
Hurricane Irma made landfall on Marco Island on Sunday, September 10th, bringing heavy winds and storm surge across the island. But while Tony and his photographer toured the island surveying damage Monday morning, they went to the beach and found an injured dolphin.
Tony joined with seven other residents who teamed up to carry the dolphin back down the beach and into the heavy surf, where it briefly struggled before swimming off down the beach.
"Unbelievable just to save an animal like that. We struggled yesterday with the storm, but look at him," said one of the rescuers.
