Florida Power and Light are expecting widespread outages in South Florida due to Hurricane Mathew once it really impacts Florida.
Florida Power and Light is expecting 2.5 million people, half of their 4.8 million customers, to lose power from the Hurricane.
Officials with FPL say they are ready to work and have spent over two billion dollars in an effort to make power restoration move as quickly as possible. FPL also has over twleve thousand people ready to respond to outages.
