Almost 3,000 pets found shelter from Hurricane Irma thanks to the incredible work performed by the Lee County Domestic Animal Services.
Over the past 14 day, 50 staff members left their families and worked diligently to secure these animals in a safe place. Some working nearly 4 days straight in an evacuation shelter, LCDAS said.
Staff members are now working to locate owners of now displaced pets that have filled their location.
If your pet was displaced during the storm, you can call LCDAS at 239-533-7387.
