FINAL UPDATE 5 PM 9/17/2020:

Vicky has now weakened into a remnant low. It has maximum sustained wind of 30 mph and is moving WSW at 12 mph. Vicky will not affect any land masses and will completely dissipate by this weekend. This is the last advisory issued on Vicky.

UPDATE 11 AM 9/17/2020:

Vicky has weakened to a tropical depression with maximum sustained wind of 35 mph. Outflow wind from Teddy will continue to weaken Vicky until it becomes a remnant low sometimes tonight or Friday. Vicky poses no threat to any land masses.

UPDATE 5 AM 9/17/2020:

Vicky expected to weaken to a Tropical Depression later today.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph with higher gusts. Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 35 miles from the center.
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb.

Vicky remains a poorly organized tropical storm. Maximum sustained winds are up to 50 mph with gusts coming in slightly higher. The storm should weaken over the next several days. The storm continues to move west-northwestward, but it should start ticking south as it weakens over the next few days. Vicky continues to have no threat to land.

UPDATE 5 AM 9/15/2020:

Vicky is expected to weaken in the next few days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph with higher gusts. Weakening is forecast due to strong upper-level winds during the next 48 hours, and Vicky is likely to degenerate into remnant low by tomorrow. Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 105 miles from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb.

UPDATE 11 AM 9/14/2020

TD 21 is now Tropical Storm Vicky, but it is expected to be short-lived. The storm will move west away from the Cabo Verde Islands this week before weakening back to a depression. It is expected to dissipate later this week. The storm poses no threat to land.
