Epsilon has now become post tropical in the northern Atlantic packing wind of 70 mph as it continues to move to the northeast at 46 mph. Epsilon will not threaten any other land areas and will be absorbed by another large extratropical low pressure system over the northeastern Atlantic. This is the last update on Epsilon.

Epsilon has weakened into a strong tropical storm with maximum sustained wind of 70 mph. It is racing to the ENE at 46 mph and is expected to become extratropical later tonight or early Monday. High surf and rip currents will still be experienced along Atlantic beaches through Monday as Epsilon continues to grow in size.

Epsilon continues to grow in size and is a large hurricane. Cloud tops are warming and Epsilon is becoming less and less organized. This trend will continue as it races off to the northeast. It is currently moving at 24 mph with maximum sustained wind of 75 mph. Epsilon will become extratropical late in the day Sunday and will not impact any land areas.

Epsilon is still maintaining hurricane status with wind of 80 mph with a low central pressure of 958 mb. It is now racing toward the northeast at 22 mph, but will interact with a trough over colder water tomorrow which will cause the hurricane to become extratropical. It poses no threat to any land areas.

Epsilon continues to move through the northern Atlantic at 12 mph. The system is expected to slowly weaken over the weekend. Epsilon is forecast to become a large and powerful post-tropical cyclone early next week as it continues to move over the open Atlantic. There is no threat to land, but high surf and rip currents are possible along Atlantic beaches this weekend.

Epsilon continues to move away from Bermuda and the United States as a category 1 hurricane with maximum sustained wind of 80 mph. It is still moving toward the north at 13 mph, but will interact with a mid latitude trough which will cause the storm to move to the northeast and accelerate in speed. Epsilon is moving along a warm eddy in the gulf stream which should allow the storm to maintain hurricane status for much of the weekend before becoming post tropical early next week. With its expanding wind field Atlantic beaches could experience a high rip current risk.

Hurricane Epsilon has not changed much in the past 12 hours but it continues to pick up forward speed to the north. It has well defined outer bands with an eye that appears now & then. This weekend, it is expected to turn to the NE & accelerate, eventually become extra tropical as it moves over cooler water.

Epsilon is moving toward the north east of Bermuda near 8 mph. A generally northward motion with increasing forward speed is expected through early Saturday, with an even faster motion toward the northeast later that day. The center of Epsilon will continue to move away from Bermuda.
Maximum sustained winds are near 85 mph with higher gusts. Some fluctuations in strength could occur for the next day or so before gradual weakening begins on Saturday. Epsilon remains a large storm system. Hurricane force winds extend outward up to 15 miles from the center and tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 255 miles. The estimated minimum central pressure is 968 mb.

Hurricane Epsilon is as close as it will get to Bermuda and is 190 miles east of the island. Tropical storm warnings have expired for Bermuda as wind and rain will subside overnight and Friday morning. Epsilon's eye has filled in and dry air has wrapped around the center so it doesn't appear Epsilon will strengthen more than the category 1 storm it currently is. Epsilon has maximum sustained wind of 85 mph as it moves to the NNW at 9 mph. It will continue to move northward over the next day or so then turn to the northeast and quickly move into cooler water and become post tropical late Sunday or Monday.

Epsilon has weakened further this afternoon, now down to 85mph winds. It has lost its eye definition & is moving faster to the NNW. It could regain a little strength tomorrow as it nears the Gulf Stream but should turn to the north by the weekend. Epsilon's small core seems to be degrading as well.

Hurricane Epsilon has weakened quite a bit since yesterday with winds down to 90mph. It is ow a cat. 1 with an eye that is a bit better defined this morning. Movement is expected to turn to the north on Friday as it moves through a break in the Atlantic ridge & then accelerate faster to the NE this weekend. The current track will bring it east of Bermuda this evening but close enough to produce tropical storm conditions.

Epsilon has been downgraded to a Category 2 Hurricane this morning. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 110 mph with higher gusts. Additional weakening is forecast during the next few days. Hurricane force winds extend outward up to 25 miles from the center and tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 310 miles.

Hurricane Epsilon continues to move northwest closer to Bermuda with winds of 115 mph. The storm will weaken some by Thursday as it makes a close pass east of the island, where tropical storm conditions are expected. The storm will then turn northeast and rapidly move into the north Atlantic by the weekend and next week while transitioning to a post-tropical low pressure system.

Hurricane Epsilon has strengthened into a major hurricane and is now a category 3 storm with maximum sustained wind of 115 mph. it is moving to the northwest and should pass to the east of Bermuda late Thursday. Epsilon will then turn to the north and northeast out into the Atlantic away from the United States. The central pressure of Epsilon has been lowering rapidly the past several hours and is now down to 955 mb. Its eye is well defined and Epsilon looks good on satellite. It appears as though Epsilon will be a hurricane through the weekend as it moves east of the Canadian Maritime.

Epsilon is moving toward the west-northwest near 14 mph, and this motion at a slower forward speed is expected through today. A turn toward the northwest is expected tonight, followed by a turn toward the north by Thursday night. On the forecast track, the center of Epsilon is forecast to make its closest approach to Bermuda Thursday afternoon or evening.
Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 85 mph with higher gusts. Some additional strengthening is possible today, followed by little change in strength into the weekend.
Hurricane force winds extend outward up to 25 miles from the center and tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 435 miles mainly to the north of the center.
The estimated minimum central pressure is 976 mb.

Epsilon continues to strengthen and has become a hurricane as of the 11 PM advisory. The storm will continue to head NW toward Bermuda through late week. The storm will likely miss the island to the east, but tropical storm conditions will be possible. The storm will then get caught up in the upper level westerly winds and get pushed eastward into the open north Atlantic by this weekend.

Tropical Storm Epsilon has strengthened this afternoon with 65mph winds. It has good structure with storms wrapping all the way around its center. Epsilon is fighting off some wind shear & dry air but it expected to become a hurricane on Wednesday. The current track takes it just east of Bermuda by Thursday night but will lnot be a threat to the US.

Epsilon hasn't gained strength since this morning and continues wandering around the Atlantic southeast of Bermuda. The forecast track remains mostly unchanged, with a northwest motion then a turn toward the north near Bermuda by Friday. The strong upper-level jet should quickly carry it into the north Atlantic by early next week as strong area of low pressure.

Tropical Depression 27 has formed in the Atlantic.
The depression is stationary and little overall motion is expected through tonight. A slow west-northwestward to northwestward motion should begin on Tuesday, and this motion should continue through midweek. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph with higher gusts. Gradual strengthening is forecast during the next 72 hours, and the depression is forecast to become a tropical storm later today or tonight and be at or near hurricane strength by early Thursday. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1003 mb.
