Conditions will be extremely dangerous for wildfires in Southwest Florida Thursday, according to the Florida Forest Service. And as soon as the day began, several crews were on the scene of a brush fire in Lehigh Acres.

Just after midnight at least five different Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue engines were in the 17000 block of Jane Court, just south of SR 82.

Crews tell Fox 4 the fire started close to three different properties, but was contained to grassy fields and did minimal damage. They say by 2 am the fire was out and crews were trying to determine how it started and how large it was.

According to the forest service, it was one of five different wildfires burning in Southwest Florida Thursday morning. There were two fires in Lehigh Acres, two in Immokalee, and one in Naples.

The outlook for wildfires Thursday is serious, according to the forest service. It lists Charlotte and Lee Counties in 'extreme' danger. Collier, Glades, and Hendry Counties are listed as 'very high' risk for fire.
