A mulch fire that burned along I-75 at mile marker 144 in North Fort Myers is 100% contained, as of Sunday.

Caloosahatchee Forestry Center tweeted that the mulch fire caught the surrounding wooded ara on fire but crews were able to contain the blaze overnight.

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office is asking residence to refrain from calling 911 to report heavy smoke in the area coming from Lee County.

There are currently no large fires in Charlotte County.
