CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Multiple units responded to a fast-moving fire near Port Charlotte Thursday afternoon.

Charlotte County Fire & EMS says the fire is approximately 7 acres and is now 95% contained.  No structures are threatened.  The Environmental Center on Harborview Road had been evacuated, but has since reopened.

Smoke from the fire had forced the closure of Harbor View Road near Interstate 75, but it has also reopened to traffic.  The southbound I-75 off ramp at Harbor View Road (Exit #167) has been reopened.

All through lanes of I-75 in the area remained open.
