LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Southwest Florida city may delay medical marijuana distribution within city limits.
Wednesday, the village of Estero will consider passing a measure banning marijuana dispensaries for a year, which they say is enough time to create regulations.
Commissioners in Charlotte County have also put in place a similar regulation.
Meanwhile, the City of Bonita Springs says it wants to make it illegal to smoke medical marijuana in public.
A brand new report says Florida's medical marijuana market will be worth over a billion dollars by 2020.
