There’s also the idea of a throwback to old family recipes but sprinkling in a modern twist to them. No one knows better about making the old new again when it comes to meal preparation than author Anna Boiardi, the grandniece of the legendary Chef Boyardee. The Italian immigrant chef has long been an iconic part of American mealtimes. He was committed to serving warm and delicious meals, which were even an essential part of soldiers’ rations during World War II.
The chef’s grandniece is also author of a cookbook, Delicious Memories: Recipes and Stories from the Chef Boyardee family. She’ll be available for interviews and is hoping to teach others some of her family’s traditional recipes while coaching cooks on how to contemporize old fashioned family meals for modern taste buds.
