FGCU'S Leadership Through Service Living-Learning Community is partnering with the Quality Life Center of Southwest Florida to host the first annual "Survive and Thrive Obstacle 5k". This event is Saturday, March 25th at 8am. All levels of athletes are welcome, from the experienced runner, to the walker! The cost is $15 until March 10th! After March 10th the prices increases to $25. It is $10 for children under 10. Participants will get a t-shirt and are eligible for awards and admission into the exclusive after party!
100% of the proceeds of this event are working to send the Quality Life Center teens on a once in a lifetime trip to Washington, D.C.! The Quality Life Center is a nonprofit organization located in the Dunbar community of Fort Myers whose mission is to provide academic, arts, exposure, and character building activities to the youth of the community. The Leadership Through Service program is working not only to send the teens to Washington, D.C. but to also provide them with mentorship and leadership curriculum prior to their trip!
