A majority of people (55%) give themselves an A or B when it comes to their knowledge of online safety and security. However, when given a simple, 6-question security quiz, 97% got at least one question wrong and 70% wrongly identified what secure URL should look like. And 42% didn’t realize there is a difference between using a secure (HTTPS) versus non secure (HTTP).

In addition, nearly 3 out of 10 (29%) of respondents report not checking for the “S” when entering personal information on a website, even after being told that the “S” means “secure connection.”
