Common Mistakes:
- Ignoring- not addressing changes in teen, not addressing mental health issues, putting off getting help
- Minimizing- not locking up household medications (1 in 5 teens abuse these), accepting experimentation, believing that your child is too smart (intelligence does not equal maturity), not considering family history, failing to use leverage to get child treatment
- Blaming- judementalness towards your child, your spouse, or your self only hurts all involved.
