Rachel Nicks was born and raised in Oakland, CA. She played sports since she was 2 years old when she began her gymnastics. She was a gymnast for 12 years, played soccer for 8 years, basketball for 5 years and volleyball for 3 years.
Movement has always been a part of her life and so it is no surprise that’s she has continued to make movement and fitness a part of her life her adult life. She graduated with a BFA in Drama from The Juilliard School and shortly after graduation found herself taking hot yoga almost every day. It made her dig deeper. She decide to go through a 500 hour Hatha Yoga training. When she began teaching she realized she loved to teach. She had opened her Pandora’s Box. Teaching fitness brought her joy and fulfilled her in a way she was not expecting. She then continued to receive more training to ensure that she was filling her toolbox to fully serve her students. She has the following certifications: 500 hour hatha yoga certification, 85 prenatal and postnatal, 285 hour Core Fusion Barre, kettlebell, TRX, Mat Pilates, FlexFormer and group fitness. Rachel is also a doula and breastfeeding consultant. She is a trainer at MIRROR and is an actor most recently appearing on shows including New Amsterdam, The Good Fight, and FBI.
