Dr. Firas Badin is a medical oncologist affiliated with Baptist Health System in Lexington, Kentucky and a medical director for Oncology Research at Baptist Health System in Kentucky and Indiana. He completed his residency at Beth Israel Medical Center, his fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of Kentucky and is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology. He serves as a consultant for Kentucky Board of Medical licensure and is a committee member of NRG Medical Oncology. Dr. Badin has been featured on WTVQ TV, WKYT-TV, Lexington Herald-Leader and Times-Tribune.

  • Katie Brown, a cancer survivor, has worked in nonprofit and patient advocacy for over 15 years. She is the vice president of Support and Survivorship Programs for LUNGevity, as well as the foundation’s social media strategist and author of the books, Co-surviving Cancer and Navigating Advocacy. She has been featured on ABC News, US News & World Report, WFAA-TV, among others. LUNGevity patient education programs have been funded, in part, through grants from Bristol Myers Squibb.
