Are you a teacher with a great classroom project idea, but no way to fund it? Limeades for Learning is a national award-winning initiative of SONIC Drive-In that supports public school teachers by providing the funds needed for materials and innovative teaching techniques to inspire creativity and learning in the classroom.
SONIC donates $1 million three times a year to support public school teachers, including the annual Fall Voting Campaign, which this year runs October 1 through October 28. The Fall Voting campaign allows SONIC fans to take the lead in helping make a difference in their local communities by voting daily for projects they support.
How does Fall Voting work? Teachers submit projects for the supplies they need, and fans of SONIC visit LimeadesForLearning.com to see the thousands of teacher projects up for funding and vote daily for their favorite projects. At the end of every week during the campaign, SONIC funds the projects that receive the most votes.
Since 2009, SONIC has donated more than $10.7 million to public school classrooms in local communities through its partnership with DonorsChoose.org. By 2021, SONIC will have contributed $20 million to local public classrooms across the country.
