Dr. Kenneth Adams is Chief Medical Officer for the UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement Plan of Texas, where he collaborates with hospital systems and physicians to ensure quality care and efficiency for UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare members in the Lone Star State. Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare in 2019, Dr. Adams held top leadership roles with multiple Texas-based health care organizations, including Chief Medical Officer of a Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plan and System Vice President for Post-Acute Services with Texas Health Resources. Outside of his duties with UnitedHealthcare, Dr. Adams maintains active roles with multiple academic, professional and community organizations. An avid cyclist, Dr. Adams was also the USA Cycling Team Physician and has served as a physician for the U.S. Olympic Center and U.S. Masters National Cycling Team.
