alda Afshar, MD, PhD is a physician-scientist specializing in maternal-fetal medicine at the Ronald Reagan U.C.L.A. Medical Center. She is a recipient of a National Institutes of Health Reproductive Scientist Award. She is currently co-leading an effort to build a registry of pregnant or postpartum women with confirmed or suspected COVID-19, to study how COVID-19 affects those women and their babies.
