Over the past few months, we have seen more information online regarding skincare than months prior. Whether it's in relation to skincare routines or taking preventative action, it's also important to consider how wearing a face mask may affect our skin. The Centers for Disease Control has recommended that everyone wear a protective face covering while in public and in places where it is difficult to remain 6 feet apart. While this preventive measure is meant to keep us all safe, many of us are beginning to experience some uncomfortable skin-related side effects as a result of wearing a mask.

Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at Weill Cornell Medical College, Dr. Michelle Henry, will be available for interviews to explain how wearing a face covering can cause irritation and acne. She’ll share some important advice on caring for your skin under a mask all summer long, as well as tips on how to keep your masks clean.
