SANIBEL, Fla. — Starting Friday, people can see more options for local businesses serving alcohol in Southwest Florida.

According to the new phase two plan announced by Governor DeSantis, bars and pubs can now operate up to 50% for indoor seating as long as it respects social distancing guidelines.

Restaurants can also reopen bar-top seating with proper distancing.

George and Wendy's Seafood Grill in Sanibel says phase two guidelines will be a good impact for local businesses.

Friday they plan to return bar-top seating and serving at a safe distance apart.

The restaurant is also making other changes to accommodate the atmosphere and customers they expect phase two to bring.

Fox 4 will be live with details at George and Wendy's Seafood Grill in Sanibel, Friday morning.
