CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The ongoing pandemic has impacted many of us in a number of ways, but some of those aren't always so obvious.

That's why 17 behavioral health organizations across Lee and Collier counties have teamed up to launch a new initiative, called Healthy Minds.

This community partnership helps people cope with the emotional impacts of COVID-19, like anxiety and depression.

On Saturday, they say volunteers will connect people to local resources and tools they need at their event in Lehigh Acres.

"They can take advantage of the screening, resources, and referrals, or they can take pieces of what we have to offer and take that with them. The good news is United Way 2-1-1 will follow up with them the next day to make sure they were able to receive the services what they need and link them to appropriate resources," said Stacey Cook, CEO of SalusCare.

Saturday morning, local resources and helpful information will be set up at Lehigh Community Services from 9 until 11.
