FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Gardening Industry is growing as many people look for new things to do during the pandemic.

In addition to just looking for a hobby, people are also trying to be more self-sustaining learning how to plant fruits and vegetables.

Thrifty Garden in Downtown Fort Myers has everything you need to start or even add to your garden.

Rick Molek, Owner of the Thrifty Garden says after trying numerous times to launch a backyard garden he failed. But this led him to the idea of The Thrifty Garden.

“It has to be cheaper, easier; we have to have more success than we were currently experiencing,” said Molek.

He dived deeper into researching what works and doesn’t work in gardening.

He now has both indoor and outdoor plants that people can get when they visit.

But he has a passion for indoor plants.

“We try to focus on ones that are accessible for people, even for people that say they kill everything,” said Molek.

Thrifty Garden is located on Fowler Street in Fort Myers.
