FLORIDA — A Florida lawmaker wants to help restaurants and bars rebound from the pandemic, by filing a bill that would make to-go alcohol a permanent thing.

Sen. Jeff Brandes' executive order would allow bars and restaurants to sell sealed beer, wine and mixed drinks as part of to-go orders with at least one food item. Governor Desantis passed an executive order back in March allowing liquor to-go, but this bill would make it permanent.

The bill will be discussed when the 2021 Legislative Session begins in March.
