There are plenty of ways to jazz up plain pretzels. From adding them to peanut butter brownies for a salty twist on dessert to stuffing them with spinach and artichokes, there’s a surprising number of things you can do with the traditionally boring snack.

Soon, there will be yet another innovative way to enjoy pretzels: Pop-Tarts Pretzel! Yes, pretzel Pop-Tarts are coming soon, and they sound like a perfectly delicious combination of salty and sweet.

Coming in two flavors, chocolate and cinnamon sugar, Pop-Tarts Pretzel combines the sweetness of regular Pop-Tarts with the slight saltiness of a pretzel crust. They will hit stores nationwide in January 2020 and they will be a permanent addition to the Pop-Tart line-up.

Pop-Tarts

This is far from the first time we’ve learned of new additions to the Pop-Tarts family of pastry treats. The brand re-released two of its most-requested flavors in May — frosted confetti cupcake and frosted chocolate cupcake.

And in the past, the company has offered chocolate chip cookie dough, cookies & cream, hot fudge sundae and even some seasonal dessert flavors, like the autumnal cinnamon roll.

You can also buy mini, bite-sized Pop-Tarts in frosted strawberry and brown sugar cinnamon, though they would probably be best eaten right out of the box and not warmed up in the toaster. You could, however, throw some Pop-Tart Bites in the microwave if you just can’t eat your Pop-Tarts straight out of the box.

Now through the holidays, you’ll also find Pop-Tarts rocking ugly Christmas sweaters to celebrate the season. The limited-edition Pop-Tarts have a sugar-cookie-flavored filling and they are imprinted with sweater designs, like a reindeer with Christmas bulbs on his antlers and a sloth wearing a sweater that says “S-L-O-W”.
