NAPLES, Fla. — Emmanuel Community Park has teamed up with Eldridge's Produce to offer a safe and easy option for buying fresh, local produce.
Every Thursday, the park will be a curbside pick up location for orders through Eldridge's online farmer's market.
It offers a local, fresh selection of fruits, vegetables, and even eggs from farms across Southwest Florida.
They say the goal is to bring fresh produce to the local families that live close to the park.
"The feedback has been very, very positive," said Howard Isaacson, with Emmanuel Community Park. “They have the opportunity to not physically walk through the doors and go into stores if they can avoid it. We think it’s important too that folks just get out into the fresh air.”
Starting this week, Eldridge's Produce will set up every Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 2770 Oil Well Road in Naples.
Customers will use Eldridge's new online farmer's market to place their order and pay by Wednesday at 4 p.m.
The orders are prepackaged for safety and have the buyers name on it.
Thursday, customer will pick up curbside by the soccer field and the order will be placed in their vehicle.
