NAPLES, Fla. -- Officials at Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens say they welcome all Pokemon Go players, but ask to be respectful to private areas of the park.
The zoo says that in addition to their diverse display of natural animals, they are also home to a Pokemon gym, many Pokestops, and countless Pokemon.
They just ask that everyone respects all their boundaries, fences, private areas, and behind-the-the-scenes areas.
Pokemon Go is an "augmented reality" mobile app that allows players to navigate the real world to collect virtual game characters, which can then be used to face off for control of "gyms" scattered among public areas.
The game has become a phenomenon in just a week, with more daily users than Twitter. Millions of users have taken to the streets as they search for Pokemon, leading to concerns about the safety of distracted players.
