A Fort Myers woman accused of cyber-stalking after she posted a fake Craigslist ad for another woman, pled no-contest to the charges.
As part of the plea deal, 21-year-old Jessica Russo will spend the next year on probation and will have to complete 100 hours of community service, with no contact with the woman she posted the ad for.
Prosecutors said Russo posted the victim's picture and number on the Craigslist ad with graphic details soliciting sex.
The victim had no idea until she started getting phone calls and messages.
Deputies were able to trace the ad back to Russo, and that's when it was revealed she was fighting with the victim over several issues related to her husband.
The victim released this statement to Fox 4:
"I'm glad to have this behind me. I hope that others realize doing this to someone is not okay. She put my kids life and my life in danger, as well as forcing us to move and me change my number.... My heart goes out to those who have experienced anything like this as it has been beyond a life changing experience. I have now started my own life and am happy again."
