A North Fort Myers woman was arrested for stabbing a security guard at a bar in Cape Coral.
Crystal Oneal, 31, is accused of stabbing a guard at Dixie Roadhouse in the neck with a six-inch knife.
Cape Coral Police said Oneal was causing a disturbance at the bar and was being escorted out by security when it happened.
"They're just doing their job, pretty much, to protect everyone else from anybody who'd want to harm," Tyler Chmielewski said.
"They're putting their life out there for you, and for somebody to do this to them is just so wrong," Lisa Bauer said.
Bauer is a former sheriff's deputy in Milwaukee, and said people like Oneal are the reason she turned in her badge after 23 years. She said she's not shocked by the incident at Dixie Roadhouse.
"Every week there is an officer being ambushed or killed somewhere by someone, so I do not find this surprising whatsoever," Bauer said.
Oneal told police as she exited the back doors, she blacked out, and woke up and saw the police had arrived, but the stabbing incident was caught on surveillance.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office website shows Oneal was previously arrested for battery on an officer and resisting arrest with violence.
Four in Your Corner went to Oneal's home and tried to call her for her side of the story, but she could not be reached.
Dixie Roadhouse was closed on Monday so Fox 4 has not been able to hear how the guard is doing. The report said when officers arrived, he was bleeding from his neck and taken to the hospital, but was able to answer officers' questions.
