SEATTLE, WA. - A woman in Seattle says a Bank of America ATM gave her a fake $20 bill.
Darcy Fox says she withdrew $300 from the ATM and immediately noticed the tattered bill. After a closer look at it, she noticed the bill was clearly fake. President Andrew Jackson's face seemed off and several areas on the bill stated it was not for legal use and is for 'Motion Picture Use Only.'
"I mean this is blatantly fake money. The bank isn't supposed to miss these things. It bewildered me that they could actually have that occur at a bank," she said.
Fox took the bill into the branch and switched it out for a real $20.
A Bank of America spokesperson says this is an "isolated incident", going on to say safe guards are in place to keep fake money out of ATMs.
