A woman told police she was kidnapped and later dropped off at Riverside Church, Wednesday.

A Lee County Deputy says he responded to a call where the victim said she was being held against her will in a vehicle traveling on Daniels Pkwy in Fort Myers.

The victim, 38-year-old Althea Higgins, told the deputy that the suspect came over to drop off her belongings when the two decided to get lunch at Carrabba's, according to a report.

After Higgings demanded multiple times for the suspect to pull over, she then called police.

The suspect then pulled over to the Riverside Church and let Higgins out of his vehicle.

Deputies were later able to locate the vehicle traveling on I-75 and detained the suspect.
