ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - A financial website ranks four Florida cities as among the best places in the nation to retire.
The website WalletHub last week placed Orlando at the top of its list, followed by Tampa.
Miami was in fourth place and Cape Coral placed seventh.
WalletHub used cost of living, number of home-care facilities per capita, mild weather, access to good health care and number of senior centers per capita to come up with the list.
Among the 150 largest cities included in the study, Cape Coral ranked:
56th – Annual Cost of In-Home Services
3rd – % of 65 & Older Population
38th – Emotional Health
41st – ‘Mild Weather’ Ranking
1st – Number of Fishing Facilities per Capita
4th – Air Quality
7th – Number of Family and General Physicians per 10,000 Residents
Other cities in the top 10 were Scottsdale, Arizona; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Las Vegas; Atlanta; Minneapolis; and Los Angeles.
