Victim identified in Immokalee death

IMMOKALEE, Fla. -- We now know the name of the victim at the center of a death investigation in Immokalee earlier this week.

Collier County deputies are centering their investigation at a home on 6th Avenue South, just off Main Street.

According to a new report, the body of 49-year-old Noel Vazquez was found by his brother, with his body lying face down on the front porch of the house, early Wednesday morning.  Investigators say they arrived to find Noel in the doorway, halfway in and out of the house.  They noted his shirt was "lifted partially with the front button holes of the shirt on his back area."

Deputies say they were actually responding to a report of a suicidal person at that home. But so far they still haven't released a cause a death.

Vazquez's brother told investigators that Noel had been drinking for the past three days.
