LEE COUNTY, Fla., - Lee County Sheriff's deputies are searching for two suspects who allegedly fired shots near Blu Sushi in Gulf Coast Town Center late Thursday night.

Witnesses say a verbal argument escalated to a fight around 2am. Soon after, witnesses say they heard multiple gunshots and saw people running..

Fox 4's Breaking News Tracker on scene as Lee County Sheriff's deputies investigate the 9-1-1 call of shots fired. Those deputies found several bullet casings on the ground near the popular restaurant.

"It's a public area. it's a beautiful area so to hear that is kinda disturbing," said David Pucin, a shopper.

Deputies are now looking for two suspects: A black male wearing a dark shirt with numbers on the front and dark colored pants and another black male with dreads wearing a pink shirt with a black jacket and black jeans.

"It can happen at any time and that's the scariest thing so hopefully the Gulf coast town center security will be a little bit more heightened, a little more visible to prevent situations like this from happening in the future," said Tanya Webb, a barber at Twin Cutz.

Blu Sushi declined to comment on the incident Friday. We have confirmed that there was no property damage or injuries as a result of the gun shots.

Persons with information on the suspects in this case are urged to call the Lee County Sheriff's Office or Crimestoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
