A Cape Coral family is without a place to live after a truck plowed into their duplex off Hancock Bridge Parkway.
Four in Your Corner was told the driver had a medical emergency and was taken away in an ambulance.
No one living in the home was hurt, but a gaping hole with shattered glass and broken concrete was left behind.
"I just looked up and I heard the impact and it was amazing," Gregory George said. He lives in the other half of the duplex hit by the truck. George said he went outside to take out the trash just before the crash.
"I felt a breeze," George said."He must have went by me maybe 40-50 miles per hour."
George said the truck whizzed by just two feet away from him.
The couple living in the home said the room the truck crashed into was a baby room for their unborn child, due in a few months.
"We were all pretty panicky," Gregory said. "I just thank God that no one was hurt. We'll get by this. We'll overcome."
The Red Cross is putting the family up in a hotel for a week while they make other arrangements.
The couple was renting the home, and the landlord estimates $50,000 in damage.
