Candidate Ron DeSantis took a boat tour to get a close look at the algae water crisis affecting our area. But it's the smell that got to him.
DeSantis toured Cape Coral canals near the Cape Coral Yacht Club Boat Ramp. During the tour, he could be seen holding his nose. The captain even said Tuesday was one of the better smelling days on the water.
DeSantis also hosted a roundtable discussion on the water crisis.
The former Congressman says he promises to tackle environmental issues if he's elected.
