FORT MYERS BEACH, FLa. -- Cracked windshields and torn roofs weren't what people here on Gulf View Avenue were expecting Saturday night. But it forced those living on this block to duck for cover. " I ran and I shut one door and furniture started flying my lights went out and i got around a corner hunkered down and it was over in seconds," said Antoinette Newelli.
Now those living on the block are preparing for inclement weather that could be on the way. " We'll have to talk about what's on the way, get the bungee cords and get prepared," said Mark Derrick.
